ABOUT BRANDON

Brandon Januska is a professional baseball play-by-play broadcaster and the lead voice of the Billings Mustangs, calling a full Pioneer League schedule while contributing to the club’s daily media relations and communications efforts.

He delivers live game coverage across radio and streaming platforms, supported by thorough preparation, clear storytelling, and a steady on-air presence. In addition to play-by-play, Brandon produces game notes and postgame recaps, conducts player and coach interviews, and helps shape pregame coverage throughout the season.

Comfortable in both solo and multi-person booths, he brings a versatile approach to broadcasting—handling everything from statistical research and production support to sponsor integration and in-game adjustments.

Brandon’s experience spans professional and collegiate athletics, with play-by-play and production roles that include the Windy City ThunderBolts, Windy City Bulls, Chicago Dogs, University of Chicago, Illinois Tech, Chicago State, and Central States Hockey.

Before entering broadcasting, Brandon served as an Airborne Infantryman in the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. As a Rifleman, Radio Telephone Operator, and 240B Gun Team Leader, he was responsible for maintaining critical communications in high-pressure environments and was awarded an Army Achievement Medal during a JRTC training mission. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
